This is a diagnostic record, not a provider-delivery claim.

Observed state -> next evidence:
- Sender did not confirm request: correct address and submit again once.
- Sender confirms queued/sent: record event ID and UTC timestamp.
- Recipient MX rejects: preserve SMTP code; fix address/domain/policy before resending.
- Recipient accepts but inbox is empty: check newest message, sender, spam/quarantine where applicable, and wait within the sender's documented window.
- Multiple codes arrive: use only the newest code if the sender documents resend invalidation.
- No sender logs are available: support can investigate only with non-secret identifiers; never send an active OTP or complete magic link.
