Step-by-step instructions for creating, saving, switching and testing receive-only temporary email inboxes.

Last updated: August 8, 2026.

Quick start Open the [TempMail Cloud homepage](/). A random receive-only inbox is generated automatically. Copy the displayed address, paste it into a website that sends email verification, then return to the inbox. New messages refresh automatically.

Create a random inbox Select Regenerate Email when you need a new random identity. The previous mailbox is not deleted; it remains accessible with its saved credentials. A guest browser remembers up to 30 recent mailbox references, while the server mailbox remains available until an owner or administrator deletes it.

Create a custom email address Select Create a custom address, enter an available local name, choose an active domain and set a strong password. Custom names can use supported letters, numbers, dots, hyphens and underscores. Availability is checked before creation.

Save your credentials Use Copy Credentials immediately after creating an inbox. Store the email address and password in a trusted password manager. The server stores a password hash rather than a readable copy of the original password, so a lost guest password may not be recoverable.

Switch between saved mailboxes Open the profile menu to view addresses remembered in the current browser. Select an address to switch when its saved session is still valid. If the session is unavailable, use Login and enter the mailbox address and password.

Create a registered account A registered account groups multiple owned mailboxes under one login. Account-owned inboxes can be opened from the profile menu without entering each mailbox password again while the account session is valid.

Receive an email OTP Copy your temporary address into the third-party email field and request the code. Return to TempMail Cloud and wait for the message. Supported 4–8 digit codes associated with labels such as OTP, PIN or verification code may be highlighted for copying. The service receives email codes only, not SMS.

Use inbox controls - Search messages by sender, subject or preview text - Filter all, unread, starred, verification, security or general messages - Open a message to read its text safely - Star a message you need to find again - Delete an individual message when it is no longer required

Message rendering and attachments Message text is displayed through a restricted viewer. Treat all links and attachments as untrusted. The current interface is designed around received message content and does not promise support for every attachment format or complex email layout.

Test email workflows For QA, create a separate mailbox for each test case, trigger the application flow, and verify sender, subject, body, link and OTP. TempMail Cloud is a receiving destination, not an outbound SMTP provider or sending API.

Available domains The Domains page lists receiving domains enabled by the administrator. A domain must have correct MX and receiving-server configuration before public messages can arrive. A website may still reject a temporary domain under its own policy.

Troubleshoot a missing message - Confirm the recipient address was copied correctly - Select Refresh inbox and wait several minutes - Check that the sender promised email rather than SMS delivery - Try another active domain if the third-party website blocks one - Remember that sender rejection, DNS delay and spam policy are outside TempMail Cloud's control

Password and access problems If you still have an active mailbox session, change the password from the credential panel. If you lose both the session and guest password, ownership may be impossible to verify. Registered users should log into their account and open an owned mailbox.

Data deletion and support Delete individual messages from the inbox. For mailbox, account, privacy or abuse requests, use the Contact page and provide the relevant address without sharing its password.
