Frequently asked questions
What is 10 minute mail?
It is a temporary, receive-only email address with a ten-minute access window. Use it for a short, low-risk task when you do not want to share your primary address. The countdown starts when the inbox is created.
What happens when the ten minutes end?
Access to the inbox stops, including login, shared links and API access. Live messages are scheduled for deletion. Backups follow our privacy policy; expiry does not mean instant removal from every backup.
Can I extend or reset the timer?
Not on this tool. The deadline is fixed. You can create another inbox after expiry, but it will have a different address. Choose our reusable password-protected inbox if you need longer access.
Can I recover an expired email address?
This timed tool does not provide recovery after expiry. Finish your task before the countdown ends, and do not use a timed address for accounts you may need to recover later.
Why am I not receiving a verification email?
Check the full address, wait for the sender to deliver the message and use Refresh. Some services reject temporary addresses or delay delivery. Avoid repeated resend requests, which can invalidate older codes. Read our email OTP troubleshooting guide.
Does refreshing the page give me another ten minutes?
No. The original expiry deadline still applies. This page keeps the timed session in this browser tab; refreshing does not restart the timer.
Can I send email or receive SMS codes?
No. This tool receives email only. It cannot send replies, provide a phone number or receive SMS verification codes.
Is it safe to use for banking or important accounts?
Use a permanent address you control for banking, purchases, work and account recovery. Temporary email is better suited to disposable tasks. Anyone with your inbox credentials may be able to read its messages while access remains valid.
Will this change my regular TempMail Cloud inbox?
No. The timed inbox has a separate session from your homepage inbox. You can return to the homepage to use your reusable address.
